So…I was talking with a coworker today and I’ve discovered how sad I’ve been. So…I was soooo in love with Romance novels from…birth really I’ve noticed that I have sort of been stuck in that. Now that I’m really trying to get involved more in this blog I’ve been stretching my wings out more. I’ve been reading thriller, mystery, sci-fi, teen, non-fiction, just…anything I can get my hands on.
Of course, I’ve made a few wrong turns with romance lately. I guess since I’ve been trying to get more depth I’ve slowly been losing my eye for what I ‘like’ in romance. The last few novels (that I WILL be uploading a review on) have been just shy of hideous.
One thing that I will say…as you guys already know…I’M IN LOVE WITH STEPHEN KING!! My guy just let me borrow the novel The Dome by Stephen King that he’s been holding onto for forever. I absolutely love it. I’ve only been reading it since yesterday, i’m already 170 pages in (it’s gigantic) and I just don’t want to put it down.
I’m in the middle of studying…and I’m thinking about Stephen.
I’m in the middle of work…and I’m thinking about The Dome.
I’m in the middle of driving home and I can’t wait to see what comes next.
Anyway, I guess this is more of a glimpse of what the review will be like but as the novel is around …600 pages (at least) it will be quite a while before I finish. Or…it may not be if I stay as exciting about it as I am now.
Oh, this entire time and I haven’t said anything about my fixation. So I think I’ve been so fixated on the mystery and thriller, in-your-mind, could-this-be-real? type stories. I have also been fixated on murder and death. I mean, I’ve always been apart of the CSI, Criminal Minds, NCIS fan club but…reading it is different. If you have any suggestions that could fit in any of these categories let me know! Respond, comment, send me an email…anything! I’d love to know what you’re reading!
Dictionary Day!- I learned this word today while reading The Dome. I just HAD to google it.
